Local animation hero Paul Harrod will entertain and enlighten with his remarkable past of working in film, commercials, music videos and television, most recently as Production Designer for Wes Anderson’s upcoming animated feature Isle of Dogs.
From Star Trek films to Pee Wee’s Playhouse and well beyond, Paul has worked to evolve the artful and techical form of the sculpted image on screen for over 30 years, most of them right here in Portland.
This event is presented by ASIFA Portland at Pacific Northest College of Art, March 10 at 7pm
Tickets are $5.00, general admission, free for ASIFA members and PNCA with ID.

Content creators, animators, artists, advertising creatives, producers, brand marketing teams — Hinge invites you into our studio for a special Design Week Portland Open House. Come meet the team and get a behind the scenes view of how we bring unique stories to life through characters, live action, animation, and post-production visual effects. If you can dream it, we can do it!
We are co-hosting with our neighbors 3DV, serving beer, wine, and amazing food, and showcasing a lot of fun creative and tech, including our fully immersive VR experiences & AR apps. 3DV will also be demoing 3D printers and Wacom Cintiq tablets. In our theatre, we will be screening our latest work in TV content, Interactive, and broadcast commercials, including Cartoon Network’s Toonami & Travel Oregon: The Game.

We design, develop, and test interactive applications and games. Mixed reality enthusiasts, interaction designers, and creative coders, join us for a peek at some of the latest public space interaction tech and connect with web and game developers. We’ll have AR and VR demos, a photo booth, and some multiplayer games involving gesture interaction, touchscreens, AR, and VR. Come see some of the crazy cool work we’ve been cooking up!
