If you’re going to visit anyone in North Portland on April 27th, make your final stop Refuge. Come by for a gander at the 408 ft tall Gothic towers of the St. Johns Bridge and stay for the whiskey tasting.

We Build Character.
Refuge is an animation studio that specializes in characters and creatures. We make designing characters and creatures as much fun as it sounds. We use tools of science to make pieces of art. If we’re not showing the world something new, we haven’t done our job.

Wacom Experience Center Presents: An evening with Aaron Blaise

Wacom Experience Center Presents: An Evening with Aaron Blaise

The Wacom Experience Center is proud to bring the talent of Aaron Blaise to Portland.

After graduating from the Ringling College of Art & Design in 1989, Aaron Blaise was hired by Walt Disney Feature Animation for his love of illustration and his wonderful imagination. During his 20 + years at Disney, he worked as an animator or supervising animator on many of Disney’s leading films including “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” “The Lion King,” “Pocahontas” and “Mulan.” Aaron was co-director of “Brother Bear,” which earned an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature Film. Today, his The Art of Aaron Blaise website keeps him very busy and creating images of all the amazing creatures on Earth continues to be his passion…and we are all lucky for it!

Join us for this exciting evening and the opportunity to hear some fantastic stories and behind the scenes details on our favorite Disney animations.
